ÚAbout the Delegations

From Dec. 13th, 2001 to Jan. 8th, 2002, a diverse group of five Coloradans, affiliated with the Colorado Campaign for Middle East Peace, promoting peace with justice  joined hundreds of internationals from around the world in offering an olive branch of peace in Palestine.  

From March 27th to April 18th, 2002, four Colordans joined hundreds more internationals (press release #1 /

Press Release #2) in Palestine.  In mid-April, Colorado-native Brian Wood went back to Palestine to live there indefinitely.

During late April and early May more Coloradans have left for Palestine.

During July & August, 2002 Samantha Messier and Jill Dreier spent several weeks with the International Solidarity Movement in the Occupied Territories. 

Four Coloradoans, Paul Wilcher, Nick Sarchet, Erich Smeaton and Blake Chistiansen, traveled to Palestine during the summer of 2003 and joined the International Solidarity Movement in protesting Israel's illegal apartheid wall.

As part of the International Solidarity Movement, people from all around the world have gone to the West Bank and Gaza to witness and help create a space for both Palestinians and Israelis to end the illegal Israeli occupation of the West Bank, Gaza and E. Jerusalem.

Members of these delegations reject all forms of violence and domination and we hope that our firm and peaceful presence will, in place of Israel’s bombing and illegal colonies and various Palestinian’s desperate violent responses, create mutual respect, build relationships and help lay the foundation for a peaceful and just solution.

Finally, as advocates of nonviolence in the US, we strongly believe in “walking the talk” by using creative and beautiful ways of directly putting our human bodies and privilege on the line to be in solidarity and actively resist oppression.
