Two Important Memos obtained by Doug Rokke, former lieutenant with the U.S. Army Preventitive Medicine Command
(See the "Silver Bullet: Depleted Uranium" Story by the Canadian Broadcasting Company)
March 1, 1991
Los Alamos Memorandum
"There has been and continues to be a concern regarding the impact of DU on
the environment."

Defence Nuclear Agency Memorandum*
"DoD guidance concerning disposition of DU material in the post combat period is currently lacking."
* According to Doug Rokke, former lieutenant with the U.S. Army Preventitive Medicine Command, says he received this document at about the same time as the Los Alamos document above. (Rokke led army teams that cleaned up contaminated vehicles hit by DU rounds. Now he is collecting evidence that the Pentagon knew of the health hazards to himself and other vets all along. He now teaches at Jackson State University in Alabama.)
